Union Representing Lufthansa Technik Workers To Begin Company Engagement Next Week

The union representing workers in danger of redundancy at Lufthansa Technik in Shannon says it expects to begin engagement with the company on voluntary redundancy packages next week.

180 jobs are believed to be at risk at the aircraft maintenance firm after it announced a merger with the Atlantic Aviation Group, which is due to take effect at the end of March 2022.

Redundancies are set to be offered on a voluntary basis to impacted staff, and it’s not expected anybody will be laid off before the end of 2021.
