Shannon Group has welcomed the Government’s recognition of the importance of air connectivity into the regions and the critical role this plays in driving economic growth.
Minister Shane Ross has announced 2.5 million euro in funding for regional airports to help them strike deals with airlines to secure new routes.
The funding is expected to grow to 10 million over the coming years, but that will be dependent on the Government of the day.
