Shannon Airport Leads The Way On Dog Friendly Day

Shannon Airport is leading the way today by hosting two special guests.

To mark ‘Dog Friendly Ireland Day’, the county’s airport will facilitate training for 5-month-old Pixie and 10-Month-Old Mac, who will provide invaluable assistance over their lifetime to people with visual and other challenges.

Airport staff will take the puppies, who are training to become Guide or Assistance dogs, through the various stages of the passenger experience, exposing them to an environment they wouldn’t experience on a day to day basis.
