Serious Safety Concerns By Air Traffic Controllers “Can’t Be Whitewashed” – Dooley

Clare’s Fianna Fáil Senator insists that serious safety concerns by air traffic controllers “cannot be whitewashed” by the Irish Aviation Authority.

Up to 160 staff have written to the government claiming they’re pressurised to work through fatigue by managers struggling to fill rosters and that lack of services prompted temporary shutdowns of Air Traffic Control at Shannon and Cork in July.

The Irish Aviation Authority is denying everything raised in the letter, and says safety has not been compromised.
