Ryanair Seeks Pilots’ Pay Cuts, Warns Shannon Base May Close

Ryanair has warned that it may close its bases at Shannon and Cork Airports, and lay off up to 120 of its pilots.

The airline wants its pilots to accept a pay cut of up to 20%, and outlined the terms available to pilots in a memo sent on Friday.

According to a report in the Irish Examiner, the memo outlined that the number of job losses, and whether the airline would keep its bases at Shannon and Cork Airports, would depend on how many pilots accepted the offer.
