New €2.5m System At Shannon Set To Halve Time Spent Going Through Security

A new screening system at Shannon Airport is set to half the amount time passengers at the facility spend going through security.

The €2.5 million investment reduces touch points and means those going through the system don’t need to remove as many items from their carry on luggage.

More than 22 tonnes of equipment was hoisted into the airport’s building during the works, which took five months of planning to complete.
