Irish Air Corps Wing To Be Opened Today At Shannon Aviation Museum

A permanent exhibition featuring a Wing of the Irish Air Corps is being officially opened today at the Shannon Aviation Museum.

The feature will include the Fouga Magister F216, which the is longest active aircraft in the fleet with 47 years’ service.

The opening of the exhibition coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Irish Air Corps.

The event will also mark the 83rd anniversary of the first Air Corps deployment to Shannon Airport.
