The Minister for Finance says the Government will ‘make the case’ to Aer Lingus to preserve its Heathrow slots at Shannon Airport.
A seven year guarantee regarding the routes given to the State when IAG acquired the airline back in 2015 expires in September.
More than 22,000 people availed of the route between Heathrow and Shannon in the first quarter of this year.
