Clare Government TD Leads Calls For Shannon To Be Included In Regional Airports Programme Permanently

A Clare Government TD is calling for Shannon Airport to be included in the Regional Airports Programme on a permanent basis.

The airport was allocated more than 10 million euro in State funding last week.

There are suggestions that a review of Shannon Group’s funding model, which has been seen by Cabinet ministers, advises the continued State funding of the airport.

Fine Gael Deputy Joe Carey wants that report published in full, and for those supports to be given a permanent footing.
