Clare Government Senator Frustrated With ‘Lackadaisical’ Approach To Reopening Aviation Sector

Clare’s Fianna Fail senator says he’s frustrated with what he says is the government’s ‘lackadaisical’ approach to reopening the aviation sector.

It comes after Transport Minister Eamon Ryan revealed it would be ‘months rather than weeks’ before non-essential international travel can resume.

Airlines for Europe, which represents Ryanair and other companies, is among the bodies calling for the EU’s digital green certificate, showing if a person has been vaccinated or tested negative for COVID-19, to be in place by the end of June at the latest.
