The new Chair Designate of Shannon Group is set to be formally ratified in the role following an appearance before the Oireachtas Transport Committee today.
Conal Henry is to answer questions from Committee members, including Clare TD’s Cathal Crowe and Joe Carey and Senator Timmy Dooley at a briefing this afternoon.
The former Commercial Director at Ryanair was appointed to the role by Transport Minister Eamon Ryan back in March following Padraig O’ Ceidigh’s resignation.
It’s expected passenger numbers in the Midwest will be raised at the meeting, along with the prospect of further routes and enhanced services at Shannon.
Member of the committee and Mountshannon Fianna Fáil Senator Timmy Dooley feels it’s important to establish a collaborative relationship with the new chair.
