The Irish Aviation Authority says it would like to see an improvement in traffic levels at Shannon Airport, after it recorded a significant drop there last month.
There were 373 fewer commercial flights at Shannon last month, down by just over 20% when compared with April of last year.
The figure also means that traffic in the year to date is down by around 7%, but a spokesman for Shannon insists they've had a promising start to 2015.
The Airport says passenger numbers are up 6%, and that the reduction in flights in April is primarily due to the loss of Stobart Air services – that airline is back from June, when it will resume its flights to Birmingham.
