Average Price Of A Home In Clare Up €88,000 In September

The average price of a home in Clare increased by almost €90,000 in the month of September.

The latest Residential Property Price Index shows the biggest price hikes were seen in the West of the county.

At the end of October, the average price paid to purchase a home in Clare was €377,399, this marks an rise of over €88,000 for the figure recorded in September.

Across the month there were 57 residential property transactions in total, down from 95 in September.

The Ennis catchment area once again saw the bulk of activity where 44 homes were purchased, with the average selling price coming in at just over €320,000.

Just ten homes were sold in the Kilrush eircode area in October and all were second hand properties, with the average cost amounting to €434,800, an increase of €164,000 in the space of a month.

In the Shannon eircode area there was a also a sharp fall in transactions, but a significant rise in property prices.

Here just three homes were sold, with the average purchase price coming to €377,183, an increase of just below €120,000 in a month.
