More than 65 thousand people are expected to travel through Shannon Airport this bank holiday weekend.
Passenger numbers have jumped by 7% on the same period last year, reflecting the Clare airport’s continued growth in 2026.

1.17 million passengers have passed through Shannon between January and June, up 12% on the first six months of 2025.
Growth has been supported by the airport’s expanded schedule, which this year includes 40 routes, its largest route network in 17 years, together with increased European and transatlantic capacity.
