Audit results in proposed Lough Derg Signage released today

The results of an audit into a proposed new signage programme for the Lough Derg area will be announced at two public meetings in Portumna and Killaloe today.

The study has focused on the need for and benefits of tourism signage, including orientation, interpretive and information boards in the Lough Derg area.

Regarded as one of Ireland’s most valuable tourism assets, Lough Derg is home to Looped Walks and Driving Routes, and is a popular destination for anglers and watersports enthusiasts – so the signage audit is aimed at enhancing visitor access and awareness.

The Signage Strategy meetings will be held at Portumna Hall from 5.00pm to 6.30pm, and at the Lakeside Hotel, Killaloe from 8.00pm to 9.30pm.
