A man who tried to drive at high speed into a pedestrianised shopping area in Antwerp has been arrested.
A police spokesman said pedestrians had to “jump away” during the incident.

Extra police and military personnel have been deployed to the city centre.
Belgian prosecutors said the suspect was a French national and that weapons had been found in the car.
