A dedicated staff member is to be appointed in Clare County Council to further the development of the Atlantic Economic Corridor.
The AEC officer, which will be co-funded by government, will focus on driving the development of the corridor, which was identified in Project Ireland 2040 as being a key concept to drive growth in the West of Ireland.

Officers will also be appointed to other Councils along the Atlantic seaboard, and Clare County Council has confirmed that it will look to fill the role.
