Asylum Seekers Stage Hunger Strike At Clare Centre

Asylum seekers at the Knockalisheen direct provision centre near Meelick have undertaken a one-day hunger strike in protest at the standard of food there.

Reports say the 211 residents have mounted protests over the quality of their meals, and the lack of diversity in the menu, and that management company Aramark has instituted changes in light of the concerns.
