Clare’s ASTI Representative Calls For Timeline Of Pay Restoration To Be Outlined

Clare’s ASTI representative is urging the government to outline its timeline for the restoration of equal pay for teachers.

The Education Minister, has said there’s no room in the 900 million euro public pay deal to place all teachers on equal pay.

Starting salaries of teachers were reduced from 40,000 euro to 32,000 when the country went bankrupt, but Minister Richard Bruton says this will rise to 36 thousand next year.
