The country's largest second-level teachers union has voted against the latest Junior Cycle proposals.
Members of the ASTI have rejected the proposals by 55 percent to 45 percent
However, secondary teachers in the TUI have voted to accept the proposals by more than two to one, at 69 percent to 31.
ASTI Vice President Ed Byrne, says they don't trust the Government to adequately resource the significant changes required by the Junior Cycle proposals.
