The cost of romance is more expensive than it was five years ago.
The latest figures from the CSO show that going out for a Valentine’s dinner tonight is 30 per cent more expensive compared to 2020, while going to a theatre show is up 15 per cent.

The figures also show a bunch of flowers are 12 per cent more expensive.
Meanwhile, the latest Valentine’s Day survey conducted by ALDO which was carried out among 2,000 people in 26 counties shows Clare is the fourth most romantic spot.
