An Ardnacrusha man has become one of only 29 Irish people commissioned as an officer in the Defence Forces this year.
The officers graduated alongside six Maltese counterparts at a ceremony in the Curragh and provided a Guard Of Honor for President Michael D Higgins at a recent visit the Military College.
Lieutenant Cathal McSweeney says it's the culmination of over a year's training.
