The outgoing Bishop of Killaloe has called on people to become more aware of the wider world this Christmas.

In his annual message, Archbishop Kieran O'Reilly has cited the ebola crisis in West Africa as one example of how more needs to be done for those in developing countries.
This is Kieran O'Reilly's last Christmas in the Diocese – last month, it was announced that he'll succeed Dermot Clifford as Archbishop of Cashel and Emly in February.
Until then he is serving as the Administrator of the Diocese of Killaloe, and is calling on people to have a more global outlook.
