A planning application is being made in respect of a new social housing project in the East Clare village of Feakle.
Almost 2.5 million euro in funding for the new homes had already been annouced, and the houses will be constructed on lands in the village which had been purchased some time ago for 1.4 million.
It’s not yet known when construction will begin, but it is over a year since funding for the homes was announced.
