Appeal to taoiseach to follow through on promise of Clare sewerage investment

The Taoiseach is being asked to fulfil his promise of helping to provide investment in sewerage services in Ennis.

When in opposition, Enda Kenny told Councillors to contact him if the town still required an upgrade in services, and a letter has now been dispatched to the Taoiseach’s office asking him to consider the calls of Ennis Town Council.

Local representatives have expressed frustration at their 15-year wait for a full upgrade, particularly as they feel that efforts to attract major industries or new employers are being hampered.

Ennis Councillor Frankie Neylon says the town needs this investment.
