A special appeal is being made to people living in and around the Ennis area to donate blood this weekend.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is holding a blood donation clinic at Treacy's West County Hotel from 12 noon until 3pm tomorrow.
Since the New Year, the number of donors attending IBTS clinics has decreased, due to a variety of reasons, including the cold weather and people becoming unwell with a cold or flu.
