A Clare woman has launched an appeal to locate a missing Padre Pio medal that’s of major sentimental value to her young son who is currently unwell.
The medal has been in Catherine Taafe’s family for over 40 years and has since been passed to her son.

In 2022, he developed brain swelling and following frequent hospital vists, received the all-clear last year, but has since been re-admitted for tests.
Catherine says the medal was of great comfort to her son in trying times.
