Appeal after child killed in Limerick Road Crash

 

Gardaí at Bruff are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle road collision in Co. Limerick yesterday evening – in which a 6 year old boy was killed.

The boy – who was a pedestrian – was fatally injured when he was struck by a car near his home at Farnane in Murroe at about 5pm.

The road was closed overnight pending a technical examination.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on the boy’s body at the Mid Western Regional hospital today.
