There’s anger in parts of West and North Clare after a number of homes have been without water supply for several days.
Local councillors in the areas worst hit by a lack of supply during the heatwave, have hit out at Irish water and are pleading with the ulilty to communicate with members of the public, saying they feel they’re being left in the dark.
The utility has imposed nighttime restrictions in areas including Lahinch, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin, Liscannor, Ennistymon and Kilfenora, while a water tanker was provdided in Ennistymon last evening.
Local Fianna Fáil Councillor Richard Nagle insists that as people navigate these difficult times, it’s putting huge strain on them to be left in the dark:
