The Clare branch of Saint Vincent de Paul says it’s deeply disappointing that bogus fundraisers are collecting money in their name.
Gardaí in Ennis received two reports in recent days of people calling door-to-door claiming to be collecting funds for the charity.
In the first instance, a woman called to a home in Cahercalla Heights on Monday evening and failed to produce ID when asked, while two teenage girls targeted a home in Bruach na hAbhainn last night.

Clare Area President of Saint Vincent de Paul Niamh McDonnell has been telling Clare FM’s James Mulhall that they are not fundraising in this way and has condemned the actions of those responsible.
