Amnesty International Demands Government Action In Support Of Ibrahim Halawa

Amnesty International is calling on the Irish Government and the EU to apply political pressure on Egypt in the case of Ibrahim Halawa.

Ireland's leading human rights group says it is 'deeply concerned' for the welfare of 19 year old Ibrahim Halawa who has been detained in an Egyptian prison for over a year and a half.

The Dublin teenager was due to face a mass trial in Cairo yesterday, but his court date has now been adjourned for a fifth time until the 26th of April.
