Almost Two Thousand Vintage Vehicles Registered In Clare Last Year

A member of the Clare Vintage Club says owning classic cars is becoming an expensive hobby, due to import costs.

New figures released to Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin show Clare had the 12th highest vintage registration rate in the country with 1,971 last year.

Vintage cars are vehicles that are 30 years and older while if a vehicle is over 40 years old, it is also exempt from roadworthiness testing but only if used for non-commercial purposes.
