Almost €80,000 is to be spent on the repair of footpaths in the South Clare area in the coming months.
In Parteen, a stretch of footpath between the Tailrace Bridge and the edge of the village will be relaid at a cost of €15,000 and 200 metres of footpaths will be constructed in the Firhill housing estate.

Issues in the Glen Abhainn estate in Meelick will also be addressed.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe says the damaged paths have been an ongoing source of concern for the local communities.
