Almost €600,000 In Government Funding To LCETB

The Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board has been granted almost €600,000 in Government funding.

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science James Lawless has confirmed that the state education and training authority for this region has received €580,000 under the devolved capital grant.

The initiative is assist education and training boards in carrying out small-scale works and infrastructure upgrades which is intended to ensure projects are advanced quickly and efficiently.

The funds can be used to upgrade computer labs and science labs, replace apprenticeship equipment, and carry out roof works or planned improvement works.

More than €8 million in total has been awarded to 16 ETBs nationwide as part of the funding announcement.
