Almost 15,000 worth of drugs have been seized during searches of two houses in Clare.
The searches were carried out under Operation Tara on Wednesday last week.
Detective Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search of a house in Scariff last Wednesday and during the course of the search, suspected Cannabis Herb worth around €11,460 was seized.
A man in his early 50’s was arrested and detained at Ennis Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act and later released, with a file being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
On the same day, four Cannabis Plants with an estimated value of €3,200 were seized in a house in Flagmount.
A male in his late 50’s was interviewed and a file will now be prepared for submission to the DPP.
The suspected controlled substances have been forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for examination.
