Almost €10 Million Paid Out Under Vacant Property Grant In Clare

Almost €10 million has been paid out in Clare under the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant.

New data released by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage shows more than 600 applications have been submitted in this county since the grant’s introduction with roughly 70% of these being approved.

As of the end of September, 664 applications have been made in Clare under the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant.

Of these, 467, or just over 70%, have been approved, while 37 have been rejected and 167 have been paid out following the completion of the refurbishment works.

The value of the grants issued in Clare stands at €9.74 million.

In 2025 to date meanwhile, 32 grants have been received by the Department, with a whole 29 of these having been approved.

This year, €1.49 million has been paid out to 26 applicants who have finished their works.

Launched in July 2022, the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant is worth up to €50,000 for the renovation of a vacant home and up to €70,000 for a derelict property.
