Almost 80 children in Clare who require a social worker don’t have one allocated to them.
Responding to a parliamentary question from Bodyke Fine Gael TD Joe Cooney, the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality has confirmed there are 77 children in this county with no allocated social worker.

The information, which has been provided by Tusla, also reveals that 11 children in Clare are awaiting residential or foster care.
Minister Norma Foley says all children yet to have a social worker allocated to them are in receipt of alternative supports.
