Nearly three thousand people have signed up to be on the supplementary register of voters ahead of tomorrow’s referendum on the 8th Amendment.
In today’s fnal day of campaigning, both sides have been making their last pitches to voters.
It’s been described as the vote of a generation and with less than an hour before a broadcast moratorium kicks-in, both sides in the Abortion Referdum have been making a last ditch effort to sway voters.
The first votes are being cast today by people on islands off the west coast, while the majority of the rest of country will go to the polls tomorrow.
83,225 people are eligable to vote in Clare and In the weeks leading up to the deadline to register, some 2,883 people signed up to be on the supplmentary register.

Independent Senator Ronan Mullins is urging people to vote no.
While Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway is advocating a yes vote.
Campaign groups have also been making a last minute appeal to the public before they wrap up their campaigning today.
Éilis Murphy from the Together For Yes Campaign in Clare says it’s going to be a landmark vote.
While, Michael Leahy from the LoveBoth campaign in Clare says the result will be significant.
Polls open here at 7am tomorrow morning, when people will be able to have their say on whether the Eighth Amendment is removed from the constitution.
