Almost 1,000 Homes In East Clare To Continue Boil Water Notice

Almost 1,000 homes and businesses in South East Clare are being advised to continue their boil water notice.

Uisce Eireann is unable to provide a conclusive date for the lifting of the notice which first came into effect seven days ago.

Following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Uisce Éireann and Clare County Council issued a Boil Water Notice on Friday the 25th of August for customers supplied by the O’Brien’s Bridge Public Water Supply following an issue with disinfection.

The areas affected include O’Brien’s Bridge, Montpellier, Bridgetown and the surrounding villages.

All consumers affected by this notice must boil their water before drinking, before preparing salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating, brushing teeth and making ice, as well as in the preparation of baby formula.

Uisce Eireann could not provide a conclusive date for the lifting of the notice.
