Almost 100 New Foreign Direct Investment Jobs In Clare Last Year

There was a net increase of 95 jobs created by Foreign Direct Investment in Clare last year.

New figures show over 11,000 people are now directly or indirectly employed by FDI in this county.

There are currently 67 multi-national companies operating in Clare according to the latest figures from the Department of Enterprise.

At the end of 2025, they directly employed 6,136 people, an increase of 95 on the 6,041 recorded the previous year.

The data released to Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Cooney estimates a further 4,909 people in this county are employed indirectly as a result of foreign direct investment.

The Industrial Development Authority which is tasked with attracting inward investment to Ireland facilitated 55 site visits to the MidWest last year.

33 of these were in Limerick, 19 in Clare and 3 in Tipperary.

There are now 28,125 people directly employed by 158 IDA client companies across the MidWest , an increase of 18% since 2020.
