While many Clare supporters made their way to Dublin this morning, many more are gathering in towns and villages across the county to watch the big match.

Thousands more are expected at the Abbey Street Car Park, Ennis where family entertainment will be underway an hour before the 3:30 throw in with one and all hoping the Liam McCarthy will make it’s way back to Clare donning the saffron and blue.

Mayor of Clare, Joe Arkins says that Davy Fitzgearld and the boys have brought a great pride to the county.

Fans across the world will tune into the game to cheer on the lads.

In Lebanon, Claremen serving with the Irish Army have told Clare FM that they will be making their voices heard despite being outnumbered by the Cork contingent, while in Sydney, Australia dozens of Banner fans gathered near the Sydney Opera House for a group photo in the hours before the game.

For those at the game, a traffic management plan is in place and motorists are advised not to drink, and to take a break if tired on the way home.
