Airborne Geographical Survey Underway Over Clare

Two planes are currently crossing the skies of Clare for a unique and important environmental project.

The Tellus survey is in the final phases of a national airborne data analysis of rocks, soil and water nationwide.

The planes are currently based at Shannon Airport and can be easily identified by their red tails and black stripe.

Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, Senior Geologist on the Tellus Project Jim Hodgson says the mapping will have many practical implications.
