A north Clare business claims its newest development is an example of rural companies ‘shapeshifting in order to survive’.
Planning permission has been granted to the Ailwee Burren Experience to construct a staff accommodation centre which can house six people.

The Ailwee Caves employ skilled workers such as falconers and specialist cheesemakers, many of which are hard to attract to the area given the ongoing housing shortage.
Managing Director, Nuala Mulqueeney, says this is an essential step for the business and one that will prove a huge asset going forward.
