UNICEF says nearly one million children have been 'severely' affected by the Nepal earthquake.
Over 3-thousand-300 people are now known to have died in Saturday's disaster – while over 6-and-a-half thousand have been injured.
Hundreds of thousands of people are now sleeping in open areas out of fear of more tremors – while heavy rain is expected to disrupt rescue efforts in the coming days.
100 Irish people are believed to have been caught up in the quake and The Department of Foreign Affairs says contact is being made with many of the people affected.
