Time To Get On With The Job And Reconvene Taskforce – Clare IFA Chair

The Clare Chair of the IFA insists it’s time to get on with the job at hand and reconvene the Beef Market Taskforce as a matter of urgency.

Injunctions against two Longford farmers arising from September’s blockades at meat factories were lifted yesterday, which was one of the main stumbling blocks preventing the taskforce from meeting.

The Agriculture Minister has also backed calls for the Taskforce to resume its works while the Beef Plan Movement says it’s ready and willing to return to the table.
