IFA Deputy President Warns Of Increase In Lurching

The Deputy President of the IFA is warning Clare farmers of an increase in instances of illegal hunting and trespassing on land.

The farming organisation is one of a number of agencies involved in a newly established National Rural Safety Forum, which aims to increase awareness of rural crime and crack down on the issue.

One issue that has repeatedly been raised is that of lurching, where people trespass on a farmer’s land to illegally hunt hares with their dogs.
