Government Accused Of “Trump-Like” Tactics With Climate Change Plan

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Group is accusing the government of using Trump-like tactics in their rhetoric on climate change.

The Climate Action Plan, has outlined a number of measures to reduce Ireland’s carbon emissions in the coming years, including phasing out petrol and diesel cars by 2030, taxing single-use plastics and increasing carbon taxes.

This will inevitably lead to larger fuel bills – particularly for farmers – but Quilty farmer Joseph Woulfe feels the government will talk the talk, but not back up their words with action.
