Farmers are being urged to use their voices and ensure that those in power will futureproof their sector.
Concern is being expressed here that the current policymakers are not working in the best interests of farmers on the ground and it’s no longer a sustainable profession.
Ray Foley, from near Miltown Malbay, is from a farming background and works for an environmental NGO and believes a lack of support for the Green Party among farmers will ensure this won’t change.
