Clare’s IFA Chair says the next Minister For Agriculture must understand the needs of farmers across this county and elsewhere in the West of Ireland.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin has confirmed he will appoint a new Minister next week, following the resignation of Dara Calleary amid the Golfgate controversy.
It once again leaves the West of the country without a minister at the Cabinet table.
