Clare Beef Farmers Remain Steadfast As Nationwide Protest Enters Ninth Day

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Group insists protesting farmers won’t be going anywhere until they have secured some meaningful talks on beef prices.

Around 150 farmers from around the county are taking it in turns to protest outside of the Kepak meat processing plant in Tiermaclane, near Ennis, as part of their nationwide demonstration.

It’s the ninth day overall of the group’s protest which has been mounted in order to put pressure on factories to address plummeting beef prices.
